2026 International Conference on Urban Planning, Design and Human Geography (PDHG 2026)

About to PDHG 2026

The International Conference on Urban Planning, Design, and Human Geography (PDHG 2026) will be held in the picturesque Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in 2026. It is an academic feast that brings together urban planners, designers, geographers, and social scientists from around the world. This conference will focus on the theme of "Seven Ranks of Glory, Creating a New Chapter Together", exploring the challenges and opportunities in the process of rapid urbanization, as well as how to promote sustainable development of cities through innovative design concepts and planning strategies. As China's urbanization shifts from a period of rapid growth to a period of stable development, PDHG 2026 will become an important platform for professionals to exchange insights on how to improve the quality of urban life, protect cultural heritage, and promote the development of green buildings and smart cities. In addition, the conference will pay special attention to the uniqueness of Dali as a multi-ethnic settlement, and discuss how to reflect and respect the local cultural characteristics and social structure in the planning. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a series of thematic seminars, roundtable discussions, and workshops covering the latest planning theories, application of technical tools, and successful case analysis. At the same time, the conference will showcase the latest research findings from around the world and provide an opportunity for emerging researchers to learn from international peers. PDHG 2026 is not only a place for knowledge sharing, but also an ideal environment for inspiring ideas and building collaborative networks. We look forward to the active participation of people from all walks of life to explore the infinite possibilities of future urban development together.
